About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Our current mission is to live life, love freely, laugh often, and be a friend to whomever we meet.
ABOUT ME
My friends would say that I am a nice guy. Susan's friends say she is even nicer! We are both easy to get along with, generous, and punctual. I stay in shape, but am not a physical fitness nut. We both try to eat healthy, organic when we can. We love sailing, wine, the theatre (me drama, not musicals, Susan everything),movies, and traveling. I am a great cook, and we both enjoy eating out. Susan's passions are knitting and her kids.
PHILOSOPHY
It is not my place to live your life, nor you mine. I am for everyone having the freedom to indulge their personal faith and long as that indulgence does not translate into your trying to legislate my morality, or curtail my freedom to do as I choose. If whatever you want to do does not hurt someone else, then do it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We joined Couchsurfing so we could meet new people, both visiting us at home, and also as we travel. Of course staying somewhere for free when traveling isn't a bad thing either! I learned about Couchsurfing in a book on travel I bought written by Nomadic Matt, who has a travel blog.
Interests
I am an avid sailor, most of it on a Hunter 34 and a 9 foot skiff I built myself. I spend a lot of time online and on my computer as my work calls for it, and because of that, I have an interest in technology. I also am a student of history. Susan reads a lot of different subjects, and loves to knit and sew. I too read quite a bit, both books, and online magazines and blogs.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am not much a of a music buff, though Susan is. She likes musical theatre so she is always wandering around the house singing Pirates of Penzance or some such. We watch movies often and they run the gamut, except no horror. From Breaking Bad to Pollock, we like them all. We watch "Love Actually" every Christmas and "Sense and Sensibility" every Valentine's Day. We both read lots of books. I found out about Couchsurfing from a book called "How to Travel the World on $50 a Day" by Matt Kepnes.
