Hello there! My name is Jackie, I am 22 years old, and am looking to move from my home state of Virginia, USA, to backpack the U.K. in July 2019.

I love animals, the environment, and nature in general as well as travel, whole foods, and holistic medicine. I currently am studying at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition online to become a health coach and look to start my own health and wellness business come August 2019. I LOVE food, trying new things, and want to understand and fully immerse myself in the culture of every country I travel to. I am organized, tidy, outgoing, and hardworking.
I currently work on a 40 acre farm as a farm hand, but am looking to travel Great Britain with my boyfriend for yet another growth and learning experience as I know that I can learn a lot! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Back in 2017 I worked 6 months on a conservation corps in remote Nevada performing maintenance on trails, deconstructing and constructing fences, hiking up to 6 miles a day, and I backcountry camped for 8 days at a time! :) I absolutely loved the experience because it changed my life. I had never been out west or had to work that physically hard in my life before, so it offered a ton of growth for me and opened my eyes to the many possible paths that I could take. Because of this, I have learned that I am happiest and work best outside of an office building and look forward to live a life full of adventure.

Interests

I love to sing, volunteer, EAT, hike, and live an active life!! I also love to hangout with friends, and indulge in spontaneous adventures!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Successfully survived a solo 4 day trip to Miami this past spring break! Quite the experience!
- About a month ago I went skydiving at 12,000 feet for the first time! :D
