About Me

Hi there!

I'm an outgoing and adventurous soul with a passion for bringing people together. By day, I work as a special education teacher's aide, where I get to support and inspire incredible students. Outside of work, I wear many hats: I'm a tea pourer with a deep appreciation for the calming and communal aspects of a good brew, and an event curator who loves crafting memorable experiences for others.

As a facilitator, I thrive on creating spaces where everyone feels welcome and included. Whether it's organizing a local meet-up, hosting a themed party, or simply sharing stories over a cup of tea, I believe in the power of connection and community.

Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers and sharing stories, experiences, and maybe even a cup of tea!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m planning an exciting trip to Austin, Texas, in early June to reconnect with old friends and host a couple of events. I'm looking for a welcoming space to rest in between my long drives. While my main goal is to find a place to sleep, I’m also open to sharing some tea and chats in the evening or enjoying breakfast together in the morning. Couchsurfing appeals to me far more than staying in a hotel because it offers the chance to meet new people and have meaningful interactions, even if they’re brief. Looking forward to meeting you!

Interests

I'm deeply passionate about exploring the realms of spirituality and inner peace. My journey often takes me to the harmonious world of kirtan, where chanting and music create a profound sense of community and connection. I also love engaging in connection games, which foster deeper, more meaningful interactions with others.

One of my cherished rituals is practicing gong fu cha, the art of Chinese tea brewing. It's a meditative process that allows me to appreciate the subtle nuances of tea and share this tranquil experience with others.

In addition, I enjoy practicing yoga and meditation, both of which keep me grounded and centered. These practices help me maintain balance and bring mindfulness into my daily life.

I also have a deep love for rocks and minerals. Their natural beauty and unique properties fascinate me, and I enjoy collecting and learning about them.

I'm always eager to share these interests and learn from others, believing that each interaction is an opportunity to grow and connect on a deeper level.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a military brat, I am a natural traveler

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I love sharing my knowledge and passion for various activities. I can teach you the art of gong fu cha, where you'll learn how to appreciate and brew Chinese tea with mindfulness. I can also introduce you to kirtan chanting, helping you experience the joy and spiritual connection it brings. If you're interested in rocks and minerals, I can share insights about different types, their properties, and the stories they tell.

Learn: I'm always eager to expand my horizons and learn from others. Whether it's a new spiritual practice, a unique way to foster connections through games, or different techniques in yoga and meditation, I'm open to discovering and integrating new knowledge. I'd also love to hear about your experiences and insights in these areas.

Share: I enjoy curating and facilitating events, so I'm excited to create spaces where we can share our stories and skills. Whether it's a tea ceremony, a meditation session, or an evening of connection games, I believe in the power of shared experiences to bring people together. Let's create memorable moments and learn from each other!
