About Me

Most of what you need to know is below, but in a nutshell: I live and work in Denver, CO, studying Urban/Regional Planning and playing in the mountains whenever possible. Fascinated with the intersection between sustainability and health, love meeting new human beans, wish I danced more, love climbing to the top of mountains and hope to someday tell a live story on a (MOTH) stage.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet cool people in cool places and see towns and homes through the eyes of locals. To give a weary traveler a comfortable place to recharge and to help them craft the perfect itinerary for experiencing Northern Colorado.

Interests

Running, biking, hiking, camping, backpacking, summiting things, games of all sorts (fishbowl), DANCING, wine, chocolate, s'mores, parks and picnics, pick up soccer, sustainability, nutrition, health, NPR + TED podcasts (especially good for long runs).

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very eclectic and somewhat undeveloped taste in music. I love soul and blues for easy listening and I don't mind a little hip hoppin' to feel like a G sometimes. Somewhere in between there I find an appreciation for most genres, although I don't think I will ever truly love screamo or punk rock. Movies? Try the Intouchables or the Visitor. Books: I'm a Barbara Kingsolver sucker--loved the Bean Trees and Pigs in Heaven, as well as Flight Behavior. A Walk in the Woods, Wild, A Handmaid's Tale, Mitch Albom's goods...I don't read nearly as much as I should!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my job on the east coast and road tripped around the country for 4 months before resettling in Colorado. It was the best decision I've ever made and it introduced me to the world and people of Couchsurfing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmmm....I would love to learn more about mountaineering and bike touring/bike packing! Would also love to share ideas/a passion for sustainability and health, whether that's taking a bike ride together, cooking a delicious and healthy meal, or enjoying some pretty views. I will dance pretty much any type of dance--you provide a dance floor and I am THERE. Happy to teach what I know of salsa (taken a lesson or two).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation, dance, an enthusiasm for the outdoors, grilled pizza, and I claim to make the best s'mores you've ever tasted--challenge me.
