About Me

Hi beautiful souls!

Just recent moved here in Hong Kong! Would love to meet new people. :)

My Name is Jackie; a lover of the stars and moon, an INFP, a self-proclaimed traveler/wanderer, an educator, a blabbermouth, an adventurer, a thrill-seeker, a logophile, a nyctophile, a food lover and a struggling servant of Earth.

I believe that the ultimate purpose of travelling is to basically realize that the world is actually really much, much larger than you can ever imagine…. And that there exists a much bigger world out there ,beyond your own little life and your petty problems of which you complain so much. And the whole world does not revolve around you.

I aspire to keep an open heart and an open mind. If through example I could inspire another to extend a little more kindness, a little less judgment, see beauty amidst chaos, and find love where there was none before - then I'm a happy woman!

I believe in signs from the universe that point us toward our calling. It’s up to us whether we pay attention and follow them. Sometimes it’s a rough road, and we may be able to see only a few feet in front of us at a time, but we have to trust that we’ll end up better off than where we started. Right now I’m not quite sure where my own path will lead, but I’m looking forward to finding out.

I'm into meditation. Finding out how our mind works, how to develop real honest relationships with people around us, how to live in the present.

I believe that many people live in fear and expect the worst from people. You have to believe in the common good of the universe and you’ll attract that.

I’m very solid in who I am. I don’t feel compelled to prove anything because social acceptance is less important to me. I understand that power comes from within, it’s not given nor gained through validation. I prefer to stand on principle, free from fear.

I promise no boredom – let’s go hiking, climbing, snorkeling, parachuting, swimming with sharks, anaconda hunting, playing with snakes, just anything.

I love travelling and experiencing new people, places and cultures. I have traveled alone to far places and proved myself capable, confident and at ease in a huge variety of situations.

I do not like shopping malls or being in a small store with a large crowd of people. It causes my brain to zap like one of those electric bug killing lanterns. I make a very poor shopping buddy unless you want to go to a flea market, a bookstore, or a vintage thrift shop.

I've never felt compelled to follow the crowd just because it's the popular thing to do. (The only time I follow crowd is while crossing the road)

Carpe Diem is my motto. A new dress or an island hopping snorkeling tour? The second is right.

I’m into psychics, energy, self-improvement books and podcasts .

I like lists. And itineraries. And planning. Oh, and crossing things off my lists.

Dare I dream? Yes I do. I got a lot of dreams. I just don’t know which one to focus on. It’s a problem. I want to own a bed and breakfast. I want to have a coffee shop. I want to run a shelter for the homeless kids.

I love good food and drinks, meaningful conversations, smiles and sharing of ideas.

I enjoy everything – beach, cities, mountains, lakes, glaciers, deserts – easy to please me.

I don’t spend money on things that are not essential. Minimalism is the way to go.

I cannot stand people who lack basic manners such as please, sorry and thank you. One of my biggest pet peeves.

I’m not a big party queen - Not a big fan of pub-crawling or clubbing.

I don’t believe in fate or destiny. I believe in conscious choice making and taking responsibility for those choices whether they’re good or bad at one point or another I made a choice that brought me from point A to Point B.

I'm open minded and an independent thinker. Culture rarely influences me.

I am clumsy and have been known to fall in the middle of the street.

I so love hugging. And you know what they say … everyone needs two hugs a day to be happy, so get ready to be extremely happy.

I have both a sweet tooth and a salt tooth, but if you held my feet to the fire the salt tooth would win.

Although I love people, I'm a huge introvert. A lot of people tell me that they don't believe me when I tell them that, but when I know someone well, I open up a lot more. After a long day out, I really need quiet time to recharge, or I feel totally overwhelmed.

There is no light without the dark. I don’t believe in the idea of false positivity. Or that the point of life is to always be happy, laughing, and dancing. Every emotion on the human spectrum has its place, cause, and purpose – even the ones we deem as “negative”.

When I was 5 years old I was attacked by a hen, hence the small mark on my head. That’s WHY I LOVE CHICKEN SO MUCH…REVENGE!! LOL.

Friday Is My Second Favorite F Word! First one is: FRIED CHICKEN!

If you tell me you are nervous about something, I automatically become nervous about it too.

I laugh at my own jokes way too much all the time. It’s borderline retarded.

I am literally so weird. Like if you ever talk to me you’ll be like “Why am I talking to this girl?” I don’t know.

I am on a journey towards alignment of my purposes, professional, personal, and spiritual. I am currently undomesticating and unfucking myself. This is an open invitation to any and all interested in rediscovering the wild side, who we were before we learned to be who we are. I’m always seeking new knowledge, and am open to exploring with and learning from co-creators and co-pilots. I’d like to be an active part of creating a new normal. I don’t know where the journey ends, but along the way I hope to find adventure, battles to win, and other young gods/goddesses.

I love life in every way. I wake up in the morning and I am so happy to see that ray of sunshine peeking through my window. My days aren’t always perfect but this is how they always begin.

When I'll be old, I want to be able to say, that I’ve seen the whole world! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What better way to travel than meet a variety of interesting travelers and hang out! You never know who you'll meet next and what stories they have to tell.

Experience the culture of people, understand their traditions, listen to their stories, try out their cuisines and experience things which will stay with me forever as a memory.

It's a way for me to connect with travelers of all ages and take advice from them, or give them advice.

I have a lot of knowledge about a lot of random topics and the prospect of sharing that with other people is exciting.

Love to meet new people, exchange stories and learn new cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only one?? That's tough! Well if it can only be one thing, it must be simple yet profound, brief but all encompassing. . . therefore. . . my final answer is:
I have seen and done love.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you figure out where you should go around the Philippines based on what you want to do and see. It's a big country with 7,100 islands, after all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A bunch of storytelling from travelling . Crazy stories. Humbling experiences. Late night conversations. A nice dinner at home and probably a drink in a nice place depend if you are more a beer/wine/cocktail person!

And I'm always up for doing something whether it be chilling, exchanging stories or going out for a few drinks.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Norway, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, Viet Nam
