Overview
About Me
I've lived in LA my whole life, and I am excited to explore the other side of the country! I went to school for engineering, but my heart lies in music, so I decided to quit my first engineering job out of college to pursue my dreams of being a singer and songwriter. I'm living with my brother in Ohio while I figure out how to achieve my musical endeavors, and I will be spending a lot of time in Nashville to meet other writers and musicians who share my deep passion for music.
Outside of singing and writing songs, I enjoy swing dancing, watching anime, eating good food, walking through nature, meditation, and talking about science and technology. I used to work for Walt Disney Imagineering as an Audio Video engineer, so I am also a big theme park nerd.
And because this question comes up a lot, I am 1/8 Filipino, 3/8 Chinese, and 1/2 Thai. I'm a math problem, I know! XD
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new to town, and I want to find community, both with other musicians but also with people who have found a life for themselves out here. I have heard a lot of good things about southern hospitality, and I can't wait to exchange fun stories!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most rewarding experience in my time at UCLA was being a part of YOUTHphonics a cappella, a youth-oriented community service group dedicated to teaching an after-school music program at Fairfax High School, whose students lost their choir program in the 2007-2008 recession. These students went from never having read a single piece of music to performing full a cappella arrangements at our end-of-the-year concert at UCLA for hundreds of people. Words cannot describe how proud and fulfilled I felt knowing that my group had made such a positive impact in their lives.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach private voice lessons, and I am also helping students with college admissions and career advice. I am open to sharing these skills and helping someone become the best karaoke king/queen out of all of their friends!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can definitely give voice lessons and jam out with you. I also have endless amounts of music recommendations.
