CURRENT MISSION

To make connections all over the world and make you feel welcome to Singapore! Also, to complete an open water scuba diving course and conquer Mount Kinabalu. Backpacking Europe will have to wait a little while longer until I get the necessary funds. Everyone knows how expensive it is to travel from SE Asia to Europe!

I absolutely LOVE roadtrips. Long distance coursing through mountains, fields, plains and hills is my kinda thing.

ABOUT ME

Singaporean 23-year old. Currently working as a Commercial, Lifestyle & Travel writer at Singapore Press Holdings. Finished 2 years of military service as a platoon sergeant in Demolitions and Disposal, currently a full-time student at University of London (distance-learning), Singapore Campus.

I love meeting new people from all over the world. It's really heartwarming to get to know different cultures, ethnics and people from all over; Couchsurfing provides this exact experience!

PHILOSOPHY

The world is like a book. If you spend your entire life living in your own country then you'd have only read one page by the time your life is over.

Work less, travel more. Have fun. Life is too short to be thinking about money and career stress all the time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm learning how to be a good host and 'tour guide' to fellow Couchsurfers who are looking to have a good time and explore Singapore. It is my pleasure to take time out and have fun with new friends.

I'd look through couchsurfing conversations in Singapore and see if anyone would love to hang out or look for friendly hosts and guides in Singapore. It's a great feeling to meet new people and show them around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am actively meeting and greeting tourists from all over the world and welcoming people to Singapore, showing them around town and our delicious delicacies.

I have hosted MANUEL TOLEDO from Mexico, Spain in my flat back in 2013.

I have couchsurfed a couple of homes (KEIKO and JUNICHI) while I was backpacking in Japan 2012

I have taken KURT GRANT from London out on a day tour around the key sightseeing spots in Singapore.

Travelling the world on a backpack, tight budgets and inspiring others to do the same. I love to play the ukulele, guitar, violin and sing along with mainstream songs. I have a fetish for solo backpack travelling because of the freedom.

I write on a freelance basis for The Influencer Media and Thought Catalog whenever I collect inspiration.

I love the study of languages. Learning more languages means opening more doors to foreign countries, cultures and people. Currently able to speak fluent English. Learning basic Chinese at the moment.

Finding this networking system of 'couchsurfing' and reading the reviews from surfers and hosts alike was simply amazing.
