Why I’m on Couchsurfing

St. Johns, Newfoundland- My eyes were open to the most charming place yet by a CS Host... he wrote: "Well, you've come at the right time, St. Patty's weekend. What would you saw to a random house party, an art exhibit about beer, and dance the night with 4 decades of music by four DJs? If you say no to that we can never be friends. ;)

It is all going down tomorrow starting at 2:00pm."

It was MAGIC. 2 weeks of fun after that!

Traveled with 2 friends (San Diego & Salt Lake City) from Seattle in a rented car from OR to Chicago for Lollapalooza 2010 to work for the Ice Cream Man backstage. We couch surfed in Omaha, NE and had such a wonderful host that I told everyone I was going to move to Omaha & live the dream. We got to Chicago and couch surfed with my cousin's frat brother from UoI in Wrigleyville. Though these were opposite hosts, I fell in love with everything around me in both cities. In Omaha, we thifted, saw haunted houses, & ate a delicious home cooked meal. In Chicago, we drank Sailor Jerrys while they played Ace of Base while doing pull ups in their kitchen. So far, so good.
