ABOUT ME

Hello!

My name is Jacklyn, but most people call me Jackie. I attend UC Davis as a full-time student and love it. I plan on going to Nursing school after I receive my degree in Psychology/Human Development. I am very passionate about helping others succeed, particularly through preventative medicine and other health administration. Later, once I am a certified Nurse, I am very interested in doing traveling nursing to help the underprivileged and uninsured. It is the perfect balance of practicing medicine and travel; two things I am very passionate about.

I adapt very well to new surroundings and LOVE meeting new people and learning about who they are and what makes them tick. I laugh a lot and am always down for a good time, whether it be some outdoor activity, a party, sightseeing, or just hanging out. Some sports I enjoy include: snowboarding, tennis, and running. I really like to watch track and field and basketball. I just recently became a certified scuba diver and am excited to put my license to use!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to explore the world one couch at a time to experience and understand different cultures through the eyes of locals!

While my current living situation does not allow me to host a couch (too many roommates and not all agree on it!!), I will eventually when I get my own place. Nevertheless, I would love to help people get situated if they every decide to wander into Davis, over some coffee or drink!

MUSIC: Rock first and foremost...more specifically 90's era. Bands like Tool, RHCP's, Foo Fighters, Nirvana...I am also a fan of techno, rap/hip-hop, most anything 80's, some country and oldies. Sooo, basically everything so long as it has a good beat or good lyrics! Also, I happen to think Stevie Wonder is the man!! : )
