ABOUT ME

Sagittarian teacher with incurable wanderlust and an affinity for variety and new experiences. Past my outrageous partying days, I've settled into my new career as a teacher, and am enthused about teaching the new generation. I come from a big and blended family, live in a pretty sweet and friendly (not to mention sunny!) city, and love my job, my friends and my wonderful partner.

I have surfed and hosted a few times. I met some fantastic new people and made some great friends with high quality travellers. Well worth the effort, and slowly but surely expanding my global community!

Hmmm... what do I know? In my 7 and 1/2 years at uni I've studied lots of things, from chemistry to movies to spanish to media studies to ideology to music subcultures to interpersonal and intercultural communication. I'm not necessarily an expert in any field, but I'm up for some questions if someone wants to know. I'm keen to share and learn about sustainability and positive community-based solutions for the world's environmental and social issues. I've lots of stories to share from my travels, and enjoy hearing about others' journeys. Now, having been a teacher in various capacities for the last few years, I've got a few ideas about that, too. Oh, and my last job had a side perk where I got to take guests out to hand feed pods of wild dolphins!
