About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Building bridges... opening up the traditionaly segregated Gypsy communities to the world.
ABOUT ME
So-karess! The Gypsy says (how’re you). Hi all open-minded CS’ers out there. We have a project “Tzigania” (Gypsy community) that’s built a solid bridge into the Roma/Gypsies (there is a difference). We are here to benefit the marginalized Roma and explorer in you - alas the discoverer. Our program is a community development project that brings outsiders (you) - inside into the “forbidden” Gypsy communities. It’s not tourism!!! – yet simply a place to stay and meet real Roma, hang out, eat Gypsy food and take it where you wish, very informal – very relaxed – spontaneous and carpe-diem.
PHILOSOPHY
carpe diem
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have this profile here because alot of CSers have contacted me with an interest in this subject yet have no means of bridging the gap into the Roma/Gypsy community. We place this profile as a mean to only inform...
Sharing is the gypsy way - and for that reason we ask costs (towards room and food) in exchange for a true learning experience that we hope stays with guests for a lifetime and perhaps even shapes a life into a new direcion. We have a lot to learn from the gypsies… We built this project for people to experience Roma culture from the inside with a one-on-one, personal relationship…
Very Proud of finally establishing our on site Learning Center (literature other information ) for guest to read, enjoy and really learn - and with that background fully soak up surrounding Roma culture
Interests
Revolution... a peaceful change of the status quo: changing peoples negative-leaning opinions of the Roma one visitor at a time.. Actually, we don't tell people what to believe instead We invite you to come inside and see for yourself and then make your own EDUCATED opinions...
- culture
- literature

- breakfast

Music, Movies, and Books
all music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every day in tzigania.... where carpe diem reigns, you never know what is going to happen next
Teach, Learn, Share
We have a lot to learn and share from one another... but one thing I have learned is... the Gypsies got it right.... “Tzigania (the Gypsy community) is a diamond in the rough”… The Gypsies shouldn’t be more like us (as everyone says) - but we could be more like them...
Our on site Learning Center including our own literature exclusive on Roma Style and Décor - Various Tribes - (the Roma caste system,) and Romani (all about the language).... " Learn while having fun" - that's our moto
