我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

CSer's hosted me for two awesome weeks in Spain and then I started hosting in Australia. The best of couchsurfing has been meeting people passionate about their hometown and keen to show off their favorite parts - often places that wouldn't have been found without them. As a host I've enjoyed being able to pay that forward and feeling like a traveller in my local area

Currently I have a demanding job - If I'm too busy to host well I will say so, otherwise I insist on getting to know and entertain every host or surfer, and expect them to pay the same courtesy; CS is not free accommodation.

兴趣

Caving, canyoning, rockclimbing, tree climbing, crane climbing, mountain biking, firetwirling, space, futurism, history.. a thousand more things but those take my interest again and again

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Kayaking through a flooded city - amazingly silent without cars and airconditioners, surreal to float among tree tops and traffic lights without roads, even rescued a stranded family and succeeded in a low speed getaway from the police. What a day!

Depending on the timing my goto thing to teach and share is firetwirling on a beach with homemade rum, going for a bike ride, maybe a national park nearby. Also heaps happy to just chat/learn/travel stories, climb a tree, swim with crocodiles
