About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Broaden my horizons. And learn to build speaker cabinets

ABOUT ME

At the moment i'm taking some time away from home and work to travel, before potentially moving out of London for a little while. I have worked for a children's charity coordinating volunteers which was really interesting (sometimes!), and i'm currently a volunteer mentor for the same charity. I used to work at a cafe by day and live music venue by night, specialising in Jazz, and generally 'alternative' music. Apart from music, I'm still really interested in art and try to make it as much as i can and put on small exhibitions with friends. When i'm out of London i'm usually in the countryside, where i sometimes work as a gardener - it makes a nice change!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm keen to surf and host and looking forward to meeting people along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never done official Couchsurfing before, but i've hosted many people in the past - friends, friends-of-friends, distant relatives etc. and always enjoyed the process. I'm very relaxed when it comes to hosting people and not at all demanding when people are happy to host me!

Interests

Music, Film, Art, cycling... travel. I'm thinking about studying again some time soon but i'm not sure what, probably a natural or social science...

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm about to start reading 'The Place of Dead Roads' by William Burroughs, could be just right for an America trip. Or maybe totally wrong. Also someone lent me White Noise by Don Delillo just before I left, it looks great.
Eyes Wide Shut, Apocalypse now and Black Narcissus are some favourite movies off the top of my head but there are lots.
