À propos de moi

ABOUT ME

I am a sensitive soul who has used co-counselling to explore issues from childhood in NYC, and am a caring person (last job before retirement was Advice & Information Officer for Carers UK). My voluntary work has been with charities helping disabled people. I help look after my best friend's cats when he is away by staying in his home, now over 100 miles away in another part of England. Very passionate about liberal political and Green Issues. Good listener and actively engaged with community activities (was a community worker in UK).

Centres d'intérêt

Once I retired 4 years ago, I increased my voluntary activity from one to two disability charities. For several years appeared in amateur theatre productions in local theatre (Barn Theatre, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire). I regularly attend circle dancing groups in UK, practice yoga asanas and do meditation. Try to see a play or film at least twice monthly. Enjoy creative writing, especially interested in playwriting; many diverse cultural activities in London where I used to work. I trained to become a co-counselling facilitator, and since mid- 1980s have run workshops, done countless sessional work and travelled in Europe re my active membership of Co-counselling International.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I was present at birth of all three of my children to support my partner and welcome these wonderful kids into the world. Have done extensive travel in Europe, then extended my travels by tramping and hosteling in New Zealand - journeying solo mostly and saw extraordinary natural settings, especially in NZ's South Island. Over 40 years ago, tried living and working in an Israeli kibbutz before moving to the UK where I have now spent more than half my life. Now reconnecting by visiting childhood friends and cousins who I have not seen for ages, as at age 70, I am the eldest in the extended family on my mother's side.
