About Me
I'm Jackson, an avid traveller and student currently living in Melbourne, Australia. I've recently graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Italian Studies and International Relations. I have ambitions to undertake a Masters of International Relations in the coming years.
During my studies I often find myself dreaming of/planning my next holiday - I love travel and the opportunities presented when travelling. Namely, the opportunity to meet new people, explore different cultures, escape the rigours of everyday life, and to even exist (temporarily) outside of my comfort zone.
At home I find myself quite heavily engaged in all things sport. I have played Cricket, Tennis, Australian Rules Football and Rugby Union competitively from a young age.
I also love all things food and drinks - This is probably a direct result of living in Melbourne, a city that showcases a diverse range of restaurants and bars.
I would describe myself as a relatively easy going person. Typically I will spend my my spare time relaxing, often by reading a book or writing. However, I do have also penchant for the wilder side of life - I do love a good party, and I do enjoy an adventure or two (cue my list of countries visited).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm hoping to use couch surfing for my upcoming trip to Japan, during the Rugby World Cup. I'd love to have the opportunity to experience the varying lifestyles of people all throughout Japan... While I have enjoyed my previous hostels experiences, I have found it quite easy to spend time in a particular city without experiencing its true offerings beyond typical tourist attractions.
I'd also love to host people in Melbourne and show them what it is that makes Australia such an amazing country.
