Hello! A little about me. I love to travel which is why I joined couchsurfing. What I enjoy about traveling is experiencing a city like a local would, eating at local spots, having a drink at local bars, walking around and blending in. When I am not traveling I cook! I love working in restaurants they are full of energy and cooking is quite stimulating for me. I love to listen to music and read as much as I can in my free time. I'm a laid back person that can get along with anyone. I like good conversation and sharing experiences with anyone who loves doing the same! Life is wonderful and I love the ride.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of couchsurfing. It is a great opportunity to meet someone new with the possibility of befriending them for the rest of our lives. When traveling it is awesome to be able to live someone who knows their way around the city and can help you with where to go and what to see.

Interests

Cooking and baking are my two big passions. I like to stay active by biking in my city and swimming in the lakes. I have a garden in Wisconsin, it is small but provides me with tomatoes, peppers, onions, and beans. Salsa and pickled beans for the winter! Skiing is a blast and camping with friends is a great joy. I played lots of sports growing up but now am just a fan. I enjoy soccer the most. I have wwoofed on farms and it is wonderful, I hope to one day have a small produce farm of my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of music! A lot of different kinds of music at that. My favorite artists are Kurt Vile, Lou Reed, Harry Nillson, Neil Young, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, R.L. Burnside Grateful Dead, Ween, The Smashing Pumpkins, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Paul Simon, Major Lazer, Willie Nelson, Abba, Al Green... lots more.

My favorite movies are Fight Club, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Pulp Fiction, Taxi Driver, Leon the Professional.

I like reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. It's something that you can read over and over. I enjoyed On The Road by Jack Kerouac. One of my favorites is also Tao Te Ching. Another one that can be read more than once. I read a lot of cookbooks as well.

I would love to be able to cook for you! I think that's one way I can repay the favor of you hosting myself. I have a great sense of humor and love to engage in deep conversation.
