Overview
About Me
I am a new Masters of Public Administration student at Zhejiang Normal University in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, China! My first time to China, I have a lot to learn! I previously graduated in 2017 from Ohio Wesleyan University (with a semester abroad at University College Cork in Ireland), where I studied history and geography. I have traveled many places, and am looking to travel to many more whenever possible!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Friends have recommended Couchsurfing to me based on my personality and interest in travel. I am very outgoing and always looking for ways to meet new people in new places. After Couchsurfing a bit, I can confirm that it is an incredible service and a great way to meet interesting people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the summer of 2015, I held an internship through AmeriCorps at the National Park Service, living and working at Herbert Hoover's presidential fishing retreat, the Rapidan Camp, in Virginia's Shenandoah National Park. I solely facilitated historical interpretation, curatorial work, and maintenance of the grounds of the camp. I also lived by myself in the camp's historic Creel Cabin, and the closest visitors could reach me was by hiking a two mile trail.
While not working, I visited new counties in the Mid-Atlantic region (I hope to visit all 3,142 of the United States's counties one day, and I have been to more than 60% so far).
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a broad knowledge of history (primarily American, but I can try my hand on plenty of other things). I would love to talk about current issues in the news, and would especially be interested to learn about current issues relevant to the community I'm visiting. I can share many of my worldly experiences in my twenty years on this earth, and would love to hear about the experiences of others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer my time and conversation. I would love to assist with chores or other help around the home if needed, or just talk about anything and everything. I can also buy anyone a cup of coffee.
