Just a dude from the South living and working in Fairbanks, Alaska. I'm always happy to meet new people from different places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was in college, I backpacked through parts of Europe for several weeks. I used this app and made a few friends along the way. I suppose it's time to pay it forward.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was a kid, I made a plan to kayak from my backyard to the Atlantic Ocean (probably like 300+ miles of river). My friends were all on board and we were about to execute the plan when Mrs. Thompson freaked out, called all of our parents, and ruined the trip. Instead, we ended up paddling an inflatable raft 10 miles down a completely still muddy river to Lake Oconee. It was the middle of the summer in Georgia and it was miserable.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to shoot. If you are good at cooking, I'll pitch in on the groceries and you can teach me how to prepare your favorite food. Also I'm trying to learn how to white water kayak and mountain bike (once I get a bike).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a couch and an inflatable mattress. Of course the kitchen and the bathroom are always available during your stay, please just keep those areas clean. I also have a TV and computer. I can't let you borrow my truck, but I'm happy to give you a ride if I'm not working.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Botswana, Canada, France, Germany, Haiti, Italy, Namibia, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Saint Martin (French part), South Africa, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Zambia
