ABOUT ME

That one song is stuck in my brain all the time. Can't get it out, unless you play that other one song. I'm involved in a few different bands in Denver. I'm lucky enough to say that I've done some pretty cool shit, I get to do some pretty cool shit, and I'm going to keep doing some pretty cool shit.

PHILOSOPHY

Karma - I think there's some sort of balancing force that dictates what kind of energy surrounds you and what kind of treatment you get based on the energy you put out and the way you treat others. Life is what you make it - work hard for what you want! Follow your dreams. Whatever it takes to get there, do it. Feed your passions, and love your friends and family. Support your community, whatever it may be. Remember your roots. Smile. Laugh. Lend a helping hand. Learn from one another, don't criticize. These are just a few... Let's share more!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a few times before and I know how amazing it is to be welcomed into a warm home after a long and sometimes stressful day of traveling. Hosting is rewarding because of this. Surfing is the best way to travel and meet the coolest people, in my opinion.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was a weekend long CS party in Riga, Latvia with seasoned travelers from all over the world. I met the best people I had met in my life. I'll never forget it. After that I knew CS was the shit, so here I am.

兴趣

Music plays a central role in my life. I have been going to concerts for most of my life, and will always appreciate good, organic, live music. Guitar (electric and acoustic) is my primary instrument, but I also dabble with bass, drums, keys and I sing. I landed all state choir in high school - which I think is nerdy but cool. Being born and raised in CO, the outside is in my blood. Doing stuff like snowboarding, camping, hiking, climbing, going on river trips/rafting and disc golfing are outside activities that get my adrenaline flowing!

I could talk about what music forever and bore the face off of you, but I think it's easier to summarize what I don't like; I'm not huge fan of (new) country and most pop. Again, there's stuff I can get into in country and pop, but I'm not a fan of the manufactured music industry that sells the image and shit culture to the hungry pre-teens and beyond. Im generally into more complex and technical music (I'm a nerd), but the simple stuff can raise my hairs too. I listen to metal, jazz and funk the most probably, but also bluegrass, classical, blues, indie, afro-cuban, salsa, bossa nova, classic rock, folk, punk, alternative and other shit I can't think of right now. I play music in the following types of bands: Chiptune Metal \m/ (guitar), Funky Folky Bluegrassy jam stuff (bass, vox), Psychedelic Rock and 80's Synth Disco.

Movies I honestly don't watch a ton of. Whenever someone asks me if I've seen 'this' movie, I say no, then they freak out saying 'you have to see this movie, seriously, like right now watch it!' Some movies I've enjoyed are Inglorious Bastards, Whiplash, Shawshank Redemption, SLC Punk, Fight Club, and others I can't think of right now

Books are fun. Some of my recent favorites are: Scar Tissue; Anthony Keidis, The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories; NOFX, The Stand and Misery; Stephen King, On The Road and Dharma Bums; Jack Kerouac, A Letter To A Christian Nation by Sam Harris, 1984 and Animal Farm; George Orwell, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and I'm currently trying to take flight in my dreams with help from a book called The Field Guide to Lucid Dreaming. I love reading and I want to hear what your favorite book is and why! Let's share!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My life really has been an amazing adventure. Not gonna lie, I'm a lucky sunuvagun. ONE amazing thing I've done was create music with lightning (electric currents suspended through mid air to create pitches matching those on a keyboard) on the playa in 2014 at Burning Man while high as an electric kite.

I enjoy interacting and learning from people who have great stories and laugh often. Or anyone with a deep, intelligent and friendly mind that can help me experience their own culture.

If you follow me around and you live a day in my life, you'll surely experience something new and fascinating. A few things I can share would include exposing you to some new music you have never known, teaching you about American culture from my point of view, or teaching you that one song you love so much on the guitar.
