ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jackson, was born in Manaus, Amazonas.
But I live in São Paulo, at least for now.
My family is from the southern Brazil, with Greek ancestors.
I love having fun with other funny people wether day or night, cooking, dancing and listening to music. Teaching and learning new stuff everyday. People tell me I'm nice. Feel free to have tour own impression.
I was an English teacher but now I am trying to get a job as a flight attendant. Travelling is my middle name, so what better job? I love meeting people and helping however I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. I mean, why should one mind someone's elses business? No matter what you do, as long as you do no harm.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love making new friends, so, if you come to my city, please let me know, so we can do something together. I can definitely show you some of the best spots in town and maybe out of it. I also love to attend CS meetings. As for hosting, it's a dream I've always had, but then I need to live alone or with someone who will let me host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was in Porto Alegre and could see how the meetings work there. I felt so good, because CSers were really receptive! In Rio de Janeiro the meetings are hugely crowded and my host made me literally fly! Also had a great time in Brazil during the world cup. And recently I backpacked with a few friends from Couchsurfing, even a guest! I was at a national CS invasion in Goiania and now I am addicted to invasions LOL. Living in São Paulo, I am getting to know many people, specially from the Queers group. Now everytime I travel, I CouchSurf so I won't be alone in places anymore!

Interessi

Music for me is a medicine for the soul, and I love it when I'm able to go to some good concerts. I love going to bars, folk music concerts and mainly e-music night clubs. I also enjoy staying home on my free time, cooking something special or just having a bottle of wine watching a movie or series, but I also like swimming and diving, wether in a river, pool or open sea. Although I consider myself to be a NIGHT person.

Musica, film e libri

Pretty eclectic, I like electronic music, but I also love Brazilian Music, specially samba and bossa nova. Quality and melodic Rock'n'roll. Also local bands Cabocrioulo, AlaídeNegão and Tucumanus.
My favorite international singers are Shakira, Regina Spektor, Adam Levine, Michael Bublé, John Mayer, Adele, Bruno Mars and Jack Johnson. I love retro music(80's e 90's, guilty pleasures...)
On TV, the news and comic tv series, though I'm still trying to understand American sense of humor.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

The most amazing thing for me was going to Machu Picchu, staying there, feeling the energy and it felt like I was the discoverer, the king of the world in its belly-button.
I also had a great time in Miami and Key West, FL. I just can't remember.
I've been to Argentina, it was awesome seeing all around by bike.
Getting lost in the jungle in Amazonas was cool too. We went on a jungle survival experience, provided by the Brazilian Army.
Rio is amazing and the beaches away from the city are divine! I especially liked Paraty, with the beach called Trindade. Ubatuba, on the state of SP, is awesome as well, filled with hudreds of beaches. I loved it.

I can try to cook you something, if internet is available LOL....
I can dance the samba AND Macarena! Some forró...
Je t'enseigne Anglais et Portugais si tu m'enseigner le Français.
I'd really love to learn how to play the violin.
Different habits and ideas are something that really inspires me to keep travelling, because I love to discover everything about Human Nature.
