About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See new things, meet new people, travel the World!
ABOUT ME
Returned from a year abroad in may 2014, returning to university in fall. I work as a waiter during the summers to save money for travel. When traveling, I think I get a good education about the world, it's people, and all of the different cultures that influence it. I think think the most important thing in life is being able to make connections with other people, which is something I have been lucky enough to do in my time away from home.
PHILOSOPHY
My mom shared both of these stories with me. She's awesome.
Nothing ever goes away until lit has taught us what we need to know.
Life is full of lessons and teachings, At times cloaked in darkness and bringing us feelings of great sorrow, even despair.
At other times, however, these very same teachings can liberate us, bringing us cause for joy and celebration.
When we embrace both the light and the dark as our teachers, We walk with courage, with trust, with equanimity, and finally, with peace in our hearts. The struggle disappears, and the quiet magic of the dance of life reveals itself to us as unconditional love.
There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. "Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M, " she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today." So she did and she had a grand day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "Today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun, fun day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.... "YEAH!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"
