Overview
About Me
I am a feminist lady from sunny Southern California. I am super extroverted, energetic, silly, imaginative, compassionate, and fun. I like to keep my life busy and interesting. I am obsessed with food and have super vegan powers.
Update: Now I'm super pregnant which has really dampened my energy and capacities. So while I used to be more of a hummingbird these days I'm more like a house-cat. Baby is expected in late September 2018.
I live with and travel with my life-partner/spouse Evan. He is a software engineer and a brilliant, cool, hippie, geek, vegan man. He loves kale salads, smoothies, good music and good vibes. He loves the outdoors and any opportunity to put down the laptop and pick up a pen and journal.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Evan and I are fortunate enough to have our own place near Santa Barbara and are excited to be able to host travelers and show off our city. We used to live in a coop where we couldn't host surfers so we are happy to do it while we are able. So far we have hosted more than we have surfed, but we are eager to travel and meet cool people. Being dirty hippies, the luxury of hotels are lost on us; we prefer to camp and/or couchsurf when possible.
Interests
I'm getting my PhD in population studies and I specialize in fertility statistics.
On the side, I'm obsessed with nutrition, health, and food politics. I don't want to be the obnoxious, proselytizing vegan but if you bring it up I'll go there!
I make kombucha and have a ton of extra scoby's if you need one.
We love going to festivals or any excuse to dress up and get weird.
We love camping, nature, plants and animals. We respect the earth and do our best to do our part.
