Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Accumulated CS experiences:
1) Solo Backpacking for 17 days around Japan, having multiple surfing along the trip at different areas. Totally found 4 hosts at places: Hokkaido, Nagoya, Kumamoto and Osaka. (11~27 March 2013)

2) Backpacking with a friend for 8 days in Taiwan. Had found 1 host at Luo Dong, somewhere near Yi Lan. (24 March ~ 1 April 2014)

3) Solo Backpacking in Vienna in Austria for 6 days. At very last minute found 1 host in Vienna city centre. (19 ~ 24 Dec 2015)

4) Solo Backpacking in England for 3 days. Found a host in London. (7~9 Jan 2016)

5) Solo Backpacking in Italy for 9 days. Found a host in Rome and one in Florence. (10 ~ 18 April 2016)

6) Solo Backpacking in France for 5 days. Found 2 hosts in the city Lyon. (24~28 August 2016)

7) Solo Backpacking in Bern, the capital of Switzerland, for 5 days. Found 2 hosts. (28 Oct ~1 Nov 2016)

8) Solo Backpacking in Greece and Zurich, for around 2 weeks. Found a host at Thessaloniki and another host at Zurich. (1 ~ 15 Jan 2017)

9) Solo Backpacking in Vietnam and Cambodia for 8 days. Found a host in HCMC. (16~23 Sep 2017)

10) Solo Backpacking in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden and Helsinki for around 3 weeks. Found a host in Vilnius, a host in Tallin and a host in Helsinki. (7~29 Oct 2018)

11) Solo Backpacking in France again for 3 days. This time found a host in Paris. (18~20 Nov 2018)

12) Solo Backpacking in Brunei and Miri (East Malaysia) for 8 days. Found a host in Miri ( 28 Dec 2019~ 05 Jan 2020).

13) Solo Backpacking in Perth, Australia for 8 days. Found 3 host in Fremantle, Subiaco and Baldivis (19~26 Feb 2023)

14) Solo Backpacking in Cebu, Philippine for 7 days. Found a host in Cebu city area (30 Apr ~ 6 May 2023)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not only one but many amazing things I think I have done :)

1)Hitchhiked at Cameron Highland (Met a great and friendly family), although not a very long distance, but is a very great 1st time hitchhiking experience. :)

2)Met up a friend in the evening, decide to go travelling together, set a location- Batam Island(Indonesia), and go at the next day without any plan. That was my 1st time to be so crazy and it was exciting.

3)My 1st solo backpacking in Japan for 17 days. Met a lot of great and nice hosts and people along the way.

4)Had quit a comfortable Job, decided to pick up a new language (German) and study in Germany for about 3.5 Years.

5) Just bought 1-way ticket (via blablacar) to Vienna from Freiburg (Germany), did not have any plan where to go and have not found any CS host or book any hostel in advanced, until I reach Vienna (Austria).

6) Get lost in Venice (Italy), but was a positive experience =)

7) Learned how to ski in just 4 hours.

8) Get lost in a forest (Meteora, Greece) alone when it getting dark, was really lucky that I found a way back.

9) Went to Vietnam for the first time without any cash of USD or Dong (currency of Vietnam) or credit card.

10) Hitchhiked from Lithuania to Latvia for around 200km.

11) Ski diving @ 15000ft in Perth.

12) Did all the jumps during the Kawasan canyoneering in Cebu, Philippine.
