About Me

I'm a 21 year who's just starting to travel and would like to experience as many different things as possible. I love being outside, and the Canadian Rockies are basically my second home.

I'm an Architectural Tech here in Canada, so I basically get paid to draw lines; and I love it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make new friends around the world, and have some locals show me things a guide book never could. I want to experience culture, as opposed to going somewhere just to take a few photos; and I think meeting people who have grown up in the area can really show me a thing or two.

Interests

Literally anything outside.... except maybe golf... just because I'm a danger to other people on the course. Mainly mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.

I'm trying to be an architect, so buildings and how we interact with them really intrigue me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I listen to pretty much anything. A good song is a good song, no matter the genre. Electronic and country would have to be closer to the top of the list for myself.

Movies - I love turning off my brain and just enjoying good action movies, so if there's giant robots punching giant aliens; I'm in.

Books - I'm currently reading through the Game of Thrones series, and I'm on a Feast for Crows right now. I would have to say fantasy or a good biography of someone interesting. It's a nice journey to go through and experience someone else's life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a missions trip to Trinidad & Tobago a few years back, and it was absolutely incredible. I witness some crazy things happen and got to be a part of some miraculous circumstances. What amazed me the most was that because the people there were so impoverished, they had to rely on their faith and each other. We led a week long day camp at a local church, and it amazed me how generous these kids were. They had next to nothing, yet they'd still share their food and juice with me. It really changed who I was as a person and how I saw my own life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm all about the exchange of knowledge and wisdom! So anything you can teach me and vice versa, I'm in! I can teach you things about Canada? Or maybe lessons I've picked up along the way? But I would definitely love to learn anything new.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share anything in my backpack; except maybe my toothbrush? But I'd be more than happy to tell stories and fun experiences I've had over the years. I'm very outgoing and easy to talk to, so we can definitely share laughs and beers; and probably lots of both!
