ABOUT ME

I'm Jacky, 24 and love my life !
Malaysian penangnite who's currently working in Singapore.

Started backpacking when I was 17 and loved it since ! I've had great experiences on CS and hope to see more new faces and hear about their great stories.

I like to try new things, going out of my comfort zone and see how far things go. Started working and realised how difficult it is to travel for long term, hence I'm grateful for every trips that I had, be it long or short.

I hiked the Fuji mountain during my internship in Japan, exhausting yet rewarding experience! Met some interesting travellers during my weekend trip and their experiences have really opened up my mind, and I'm keen to meet more people and hear their stories.

I've also done some volunteering work in Cambodia, it was such a nostalgic experience and I still couldn't forget the smile and joy those kids have brought to us. We had a 5 y/o boy led us back to our place when we're lost in a completely blackout rural area. In Vietnam,I've met some beautiful souls and amazing people, a wheelchair-bound English man, a Vietnam minority who introduced us her hometown at the frontier area near China, a 22 year-old girl who has volunteered in China for 6 months without knowing the language...

Another trip to Nepal has again showed the charm of simple yet genuinely happy people. We just couldn't appreciate the things we have till we've lost it, a working socket for charging, a hot shower and even a bottle of Coke brought so much happiness to me ;D Done the strenuous ABC trek, bungee jumping and canyon swing and also walked around the Durbar Square around Kathmandu.
There is so much to tell and I just wish to see more people and hear more about them!

Teach, Learn, Share

My hometown in Malaysia, Penang, offers one of the best street food in the world :D so if you happen to pop by, I'll be glad to bring you around for some food hunting, they are really good, trust me ! ;)

For Westerners who are marveled by the strange ethics of Chinese, I'll try my best to explain it to you, my grandparents have been telling me some of them during my childhood time. I can teach you Chinese if you're interested, some basic Malay which could be helpful if you ever travel in Malaysia.
