About Me

Hi everyone! I am new to couch surfing (although I have had an account for some time) and much looking forward to new experiences with open humans. I studied Animal Science in California, and did my Master's in Agriculture Science in Bonn, Germany. I am hoping to expand on the idea of conserving our world with small but conscience, genuine steps. For now I am enjoying life one day at a time, savoring every moment and constantly learning.

I am often described as a passionate and affectionate people-person who feeds off social connection, although I do love time to myself and getting deeply lost in listening to music, art, physical activity, nature, reading, podcasts, videos.

I am a bit obsessed with Mother Nature's creations, the great outdoors and human expression. I love to get exhausted, preferably through hiking, running, swimming, biking and lest not forget dancing at until sunrise. But I am quite dynamic and can chill comfortably with a good book, paints, cooking spicy concoctions in the kitchen, stretching and doing yoga, massage, and floating around somewhere in the sunshine. A jack-of-all trades ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love exchanges with new people...
And I believe that it can help achieve a 360º orientation on life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: heaps...truly a bit of everything, but currently I am quite into organic electronic, minimal techno, afro-house, indie folk, and lots of world music. We can dive into many realms! I am always on the hunt for new experimental sounds.

Books/Philosophy: Alan Watts, Kerouac, Carl Jung, Aldous Huxley, Immanuel Kant, Henry Miller..I have gained recent interest in these authors and I really enjoy learning about the human psyche, philosophy, and nature.

Some other recent reads: Earth Matters, Eating Animals, The God Species, Astrophysics for People in a Hurry, The Sixth Extinction, Forks over Knifes

I prefer documentaries and watching things in German :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling on a boat on the east coast of Australia for 3 months.
Backpacking in the Himalayas and summiting the Mardi Himel base Camp at 4,500m.
Moving to Europe and probably not returning to my home country..even though it is quite lovely!
