I am from Seattle, Washington, and I have a desire to see the world! Experiencing new places and meeting new people is such an eye-opening and exciting experience, and that is what sparks me to keep traveling. I love being outside, hiking, kayaking, camping, hearing people's stories and passions, trying new food, exploring new places, reading, yoga, going on spontaneous adventures, spending time with friends and family, and am learning to play the guitar. I love just being with people and hearing their stories. I believe someone's story can have such an impact!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard so many great things about Couchsurfing, and I love that both the traveler and the host benefit by getting a glimpse into another person's background, culture, and personal story. It's such a unique opportunity, and what better way to experience a place than through the eyes of a local.

Interests

One of my favorite quotes is by Howard Thurman that says, "Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive." I discovered shortly after attempting a year of college, that TRAVEL and meeting different people from around the world is what makes me come alive. When you travel, you not only get to see incredible places you have only seen in pictures, but you see how similar we all are, and that is so beautiful. I love experiencing different ways of life and meeting people that share the same love for travel and for people from around the world. One of the most inspiring things is encountering someone who is chasing after a passion.

Into the Wild, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Wild, Hot Rod, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I love acoustic and Indie/folk music, country, pop, and hip hop/rap. Life goals=to rap well :) Love the books The Alchemist, and Scary Close.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I was watching people paraglide on a mountain, and as I was watching them a nearby paragliding instructor turned and asked, "You want to fly down?" Trying not to poop myself I said, "Sure!" So we paraglided down, and it was one of the best experiences! Also got to hang with the band Old Dominion after their concert. Always go check out the tour buses after a concert! XD

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share about my culture, hometown, family/friends, and love for travel. I am curious about other cultures, and would love to meet you and hear about your way of life. I love having a great time and laughing! If you are brave I would be happy to cook you a meal/meals :) I would be so thankful to be able to stay with you and experience your hometown!
