Présentation
À propos de moi
I'm shedding my years of service in the service industry (mostly bartending) and finally living the life I've studied at college--strange, studying about homesteading and being off the grid in the city...odd now that I type it. But, it's time to experience it! Between the farms and intentional communities I'll be working at, I'll be passing through towns and cities and in need of places to stay!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I'm on a budget and every penny I save is one I come home to--making my transition from city life to the country a bit easier. I don't want to rely on my old way of life and jobs to sustain me any longer. After living in The Happy Hostel for over a year (my beautiful home with likeminded ladies where we host friends, family, and the occasional traveler) in Eugene, OR, I understand the beautiful exchange that can be had from opening your home and heart to others on similar paths. It's changed my entire perspective on life, living, people, and family. I'm also an excellent house guest and very respectful :)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I love all kinds of music, but lately I've been listening to Reggaeton, Bluegrass, and Folk. My favorite movies are probably Death Proof and Drive. My favorite books thus far are East of Eden and Jitterbug Perfume.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I've stood on the rocks of Stone Henge on the first sunny dawn of either solstice in a decade, on December 21st, 2012--the 'end' of the Mayan calendar and the beginning of my 28th year.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I studied illustration and love figure drawing, so I enjoy sharing art techniques. I could do my best to teach English and have been a roller derby coach for many years--so if you have a pair of roller-skates...
I'd really like to learn a lot more Spanish, and about horse-tending, gardening, herbalism, permaculture, and mechanics. I'd also love an opportunity to cook local cuisine.
