About Me
I am sorry I cannot afford to be verified but I do have an account with Airbnb and have had one stay that was reviewed, if that helps at all: https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/120005521
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In May I graduated with a bachelors in Communication, and spent the following month reducing my belongings to what could fit into my car and set up a bed in the back. I hit the road in the first week of June and have been visiting friends in Washington and working as well as attending a music festival in the area. I have been Couchsurfing in Tacoma, WA and plan to head south toward Northern California to meet a friend from that area. On the way I would like to stop in Portland, OR and explore the city for a day or two. i would love to get some advice about what to do from a local and have so far thoroughly enjoyed my Couchsurfing experience so I would love to continue that way :)
In February I will be departing for Peace Corp service in Senegal, so I am using this summer to travel , see friends, and follow some opportunities :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I love all kinds of music, with an exception for pop country and hardcore metal music. When it comes to live music, however, I have a definite affinity for Electronic Dance Music, specifically really enjoying funk, dubstep, glitch, and other bass heavy genres.
I am actually more a T.V. than Movie buff, but I am a huge Quentin Tarantino fan, Pulp Fiction being my favorite movie (although Kill Bill has a special place in my heart)
Growing up I absolutely loved fiction and fantasy novels, however college has shifted my interests into more non-fiction, literary ruminations on philosophy, nature, and the human experience. As such I gravitate toward writing which discusses or approaches poetry, transcendentalism, natural philosophy, and spirituality. However, I am always open for reading outside of my comfort zones and always love great book suggestions! I've been reading far too many assigned readings for the past four years of my life!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked across a glacier when I was 12 years old
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share my experiences with people and am always open to providing insight on really any topic of conversation. I have been in tech support for over three years now, after having essentially been raised with computers. This means I can help troubleshoot and solve most technical issues, as well as provide support in learning to use computer software programs.
I love cooking, and although I am not technically trained in any way, I can definitely share with you some of the meals and recipes I have acquired along the way (with the hope that I can learn some things from you as well!). I also absolutely love coffee and know my way around that world. I love to create in the form of drawing and painting, and am always looking to learn new creative skills to expand my artistic capabilities. As random as it is, I have been really wanting to make linoleum print blocks recently. The last time I was able to do that I was somewhere around 12 years old and the desire to try it again has really been on my mind lately!
I've been living in a communal, non-capitalist feminist collective for over a year now. As daunting as that sounds, it really just means I live in a house with a bunch of badass women of all ages, orientations, and views on life who pool their resources and work together to get the most out of this life (it also keeps our living costs cheap!). This means working to create an intentional space for any and every one to feel comfortable and welcome to express themselves as they are. I would love a chance to discuss in more detail this way of living as it has seriously blessed me in too many ways to count!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Other than my experience, company, and conversation, I am more than willing to share some of my time to complete household tasks in exchange for having me. I consider myself a very respectful guest and will always strive to leave every place I visit better than how I found it.
