ABOUT ME

I consider myself a positive person. You will always catch me saying, "At least -suchandsuch- didn't happen". I can always find a silver lining in any situation because I believe that you are always learning and in the end, the universe wants you to be happy.

I constantly wish that I was better at something, or just I want to be more awesome, which pushes me outside my comfort zone always trying to experience something new.

My family is very important to me and I owe everything to my parents for always trusting me to make my own decisions. They give me their input, but always support my choice.

PHILOSOPHY

Things could always be worse and never forget the opportunities you have been given. You can't live everyday like its your last because sometimes you just want to order chinese food and watch a movie, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as it makes you happy and you acknowledge that you have the freedom to do so.

Everyone has their own story and their own battles to face. Sometimes we get caught on a bad day and we strangers need to stick together and offer understanding in order to help each other out.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I prefer longer trips where I am actually contributing to the people around me versus being a tourist, but being a tourist can be fun too, esp when you get to meet up with great people and hosts through this site. I try to travel as much as my budget allows and I have a long way to go!

I haven't hosted yet, but that is mainly because CS has taken off in the US as much and I don't live in a 'touristy' place.

Interests

I have a very open mind. I study art history and English. I love kids. I love watching someone who is passionate about something discuss it with someone, teach someone, or demonstrate it. I have a habit in dabbling in different hobbies and never really acquiring a skill, so when I meet someone who has found their passion, it gives off really good energy.

I love watching movies. My boyfriend is a major film guy and so I have tried to pay more attention to directors and buzz about films and pop culture in general. I love to cook but unfortunately I take after my mother and tend to burn things. I love animals, I have a cat of my own and grew up raising dairy goats. I have been vegetarian/vegan since I was 15. I enjoy playing board games and intellectual games with a group of friends or just a quiet night watching Greys Anatomy and mint chocolate chip ice cream. I like having an active lifestyle, running, yoga, rock climbing, biking..

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is Gone With the Wind. Always will be ;D I love all movies in general, sometimes the terrible ones can provide a pretty entertaining time.
