About Me

CURRENT MISSION

experiencing life in coutry France

ABOUT ME

I have just started work as an au pair in Soultz after six months of travel and work through out Europe. Hoping to speak a lot of french and board a lot of snow before heading back to Melbourne in feb.

PHILOSOPHY

I dont think that I have one. I try not to become too set on particular beliefs however am quite serious about upholding particular personal values and morales.

I don't believe people have the right to torture or eat animals and think we should co-exist as equals. I think its crazy that people think im crazy for believing this. I wish more attention was paid to equality and the state of the enviro rather than focusing so inwardly on ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have only now found the time to start using CS regularly, don't mind the old mattress/floor though it reminds me of having to sleep in the lounge room during summer time!. Aiming for the next Alsace CS meeting

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing as of yet - looking forward to my first CS drink/coffee

Interests

Lounging in front of good comedy with people that make me feel good. The outdoors and exercise, music - especially when it's original, vegetarian and vegan cuisine, my rather large family, funnies, contributing to the greater good - helping the environment and people in need.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading an amazing true story 'Shantaram' by Australian author Gregory David Roberts.

Radiohead, Clare Bowditch, Damian Bennett, Ryan Adams, James Taylor, Sigur Ros, The Black Keys

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Developed a close friendship with each of my 6 immediate family members. Working in a school in Sierra Leone. James Taylor Live in concert 3 times.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is a hard .. to counteract the risk of sounding cliched by mentioning the word cliched, I think it is important to feel free. Free to be and listen to who you are. This sounds much simpler and easier than it is.

I have a lot to learn and it confuses me so!
