About Me

CURRENT MISSION

In brief travel as many countries as possible, meet as many different people as possible and experience as many different cultures as possible!!

Currently traveling South America with my girl friend with the aim of picking up work along the way and learning Spanish.

ABOUT ME

I am a pretty down to earth, straight forward guy who loves travelling! I got the travel bug when I took a year off to work on a research vessel analysing reefs in the South Pacific Islands and Indonesia. This made me realise how much there was to see out there and therefore I try to do anything to see more !! I love my sports and take any interest in them. I play basketball, ski, scuba dive and hike too. I love discovering new places and cities especially, I could walk for hours in paris for example and get lost in it. Meeting new people too is a very important aspect of my life and I will grab any opportunity I get to get chatting to someone with a different background and experience as me. I love to go out and have a few drinks with my friends and why not cook'em up something tasty!

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life to the max with no regrets, try and see as much as possible when you are in a place because the chances of seeing it again are slim.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted many friends from around the world before I actually got started with CS. My home, in the paris area, served me very well in terms of receiving hosts and showing them around the wonders of the city of lights. I've recently been fairly quiet on the CS front, as I've not actually had a place to host guests, and been stuck into a 9-5 job. I have also been a guest on many many occasions and in lots of different parts of the world. When staying with friends I try to be as sociable as I can and not isolate myself. I will help with the cooking and any tasks that need doing in the house, this is what you can expect from me when putting us up!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had a couch surfing experience through the website however I have surfed couches before. I had a great experience when I was staying in Torquay, Victoria. After a few days at my mates house we decided to set off on a 3 day road trip round Tasmania, that will remain as one of my favourite souvenirs from my gap year.

I listen to all sorts of music ranging from rock'n'roll to Rap to electro... I like reading about adventure novels such as the Jules Verne books. Bilbo the Hobbit, autobiography of Sir Ranulph fienes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had the opportunity to see and experience things that not a huge ammount of people my age have. I have travelled to remote Islands in Papua New Guinea that are only accessible by boat!! I have lived 7 months on a boat and I consider cooking and living with 13 other ship mates on a tight space is an amazing thing to be done!
