About Me

I'm a well mannered millennial with an old soul, but continually expanding wanderlust. I love to joke around and get to know people. I went into psychology because of my appreciation for the human condition, and having no clue what I want out of this life. I'm hoping this traveling nonsense will help my perspective on life, and continue my growth as a person.

I love to have fun in every sense of the word, so please introduce me to all the friends I haven't met yet. I want to be a positive impact on your life in whatever small way I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Trying to travel the world & meet tons of new people was my original mission for couchsurfer, and still is to a very big degree. However, learning the cultures of the places I've visited, and even more so the people I've gotten to know is what's really making this adventure a trip of a lifetime. The few people I've met so far are the kind of like minded souls I always hoped I'd find, and interaction/deep conversations with all of them has made me feel like traveling is all I ever want to do!! Feel free to enter my life for as long as you wish :)
(P.s. forever is also fine)

Interests

This miniscule list gives no real understanding for my desire to experience life, but it should give a small idea of what I've been known to enjoy. Though, I'm super down to try out other what interests you. I'm interested in experiencing whatever life throws my way. I'm interested in learning new things, meeting new people, and loving every second my soul has in this lifetime.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music, but I have a special place in my heart for punk/pop music.
As far as books go I'm big on fiction, because I love the imagination of others. However, I dabble in all genres. I've recently enjoyed Good Omens, A Dirty Job, Into the Wild, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Also, I'm currently reading ---insert whatever book I've been handed by a fellow traveler---.
I'm a sucker for any movie with a dragon, but really I'm game for anything. I love a good comedy, or an action packed shooter.
Feel free to ignore this next nonsense.

The Fault In Our Stars, John Green

"I'm in love with you," he said quietly.

"Augustus," I said.

"I am," he said. He was staring at me, and I could see the corners of his eyes crinkling. "I'm in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we're all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you."

True things/simple pleasures/ & love. That's what I choose to live on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My professor/life coach described me as a comet. Expressing the fact that I made other humans lives better just by passing through them, and allowing them to soak in who I am as a person.

1 time in Iceland I was privileged enough to explain what puns were to a very friendly polish girl. My life has felt complete ever since.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about the way I see the world. How I want the world to be seen by others. I can express to you my opinions on life, and share with you the beliefs I hold dear. I can learn anything. I'm not sure if that's a tad ostentatious or not, but I believe we all have the capacity to learn just about anything. & we should because life is ephemeral at best, and we owe it to ourselves to be the very best versions of us we can.

So let's share: a drink, a laugh, a smile, a cry, a hug. Truly whatever life brings our way. Let's just experience it together. Feel free to become a pleasant memory for me, or whatever else you'd care to be!
