I am currently a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a passion for traveling, storm chasing and education. I am studying agricultural education and plan to pursue a masters in atmospheric sciences following my graduation in December.

I just finished student teaching for agricultural education at Orion High School in Orion, IL. I love working with kids, particularly in leadership development. I also am a storm chaser/field reporter for the local news station, WCIA-3 News. I also work with the National FFA Conference and facilitate leadership conferences all around the country.

I love meeting people, traveling, cooking, being outside, eating at local mom & pop diners, deep conversations, writing leadership workshops/curriculum, breakfast, House of Cards and all types of music. I find myself somewhere between hick and hipster with a splash of nerd mixed in for good measure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently I'm on a roadtrip to California; its a bit of a self discovery journey to organize my thoughts and be bold before I grow up any more. I seem to always be traveling somewhere and finding ways to help others.

I've traveled to 39 states in my college career and have stayed at many different places, but I just got a profile here from the advice of a friend who knew I stayed the night at a WalMart in Iowa once. They aren't as inviting and friendly as you might think.
