About Me

Hello! I am a college student from Upstate New York embarking on a global gap year through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I love to travel, meet new people, eat new foods, and come in touch with cultures I haven't interacted with before. Some of my hobbies including traditional Indigenous beadwork using czech glass seed beads, reading a ton, and making music. I have played the violin for 13 years, and I am a classically trained vocalist. My cultural and ethnic background is very mixed, leading me even more passionately towards travel.

My intended career path is into International Relations and Native American studies, hopefully to eventually be working in tribal law and sovereignty as well as Indigenous functions with the United Nations. I have held many jobs in the past, for example as a restaurant host, and landscaper, and a summer camp counselor, so I am easy to get along with and willing to help around the house.

Lastly, in fall of 2019 I lived in Cuba for three months, an experience I would love to talk about. I can make you a Cuban meal, speak Spanish with you, or give you tips on travelling to Cuba on a budget.
