Hello, my name is Jacob. I've been on the move since 2016 working on merchant ships and traveling around during my time off. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, preferably over a few drinks and a good meal!

The people you meet along the way are what make travel special. I think this a great platform to connect like minded people, and a great way to meet people who are local to the place I'm visiting and can show me experiences I wouldn't have otherwise.

Intereses

Reading is my main hobby. I spend most of my down time reading, and I love visiting used bookstores

I also love food . I think sharing a meal really brings people together. Trying food from different cultures is one of my favorite parts of traveling. I'll eat anything!

Music: Bob Dylan is probably my favorite, I could listen to that dude forever and never get tired of hearing it. I have a pretty eclectic music taste though: David Bowie, The Clash, The Velvet Underground, The Rolling Stones, some older hip hop artists to name a few

Books: The Brothers Karamazov, The Sun Also Rises, and Under the Volcano are probably my three favorites. But I could go on all day about close runners up. I also enjoy reading history books quite a bit.

Movies: Jim Jarmusch, Igmar Bergmann, Win Wenders, Andrei Tarkovsky are some of my favorites directors. I'm also a sucker for the old spaghetti westerns and John Wayne movies.
