Overview
About Me
Hey! I am an 18year old student with the intention of spending a year abroad. Coming from a mountainous place, I have had an innate desire to step beyond the known and broaden my horizon. This combined with my interest in foreign cultures incentivised me to explore the world. I believe that waking up in foreign surroundings and being confronted with challenges is a catalyst for personal self-development. I am an inquisitive and open-minded person who gets in contact easily with people from various backgrounds. This relates to my interpersonal skills which include a strong sense for empathy. Besides that, I am well-known for my humour and positive attitude towards life. This grants for memorable experiences - even more so because the unsteadiness I feel when staying elsewhere in the world excites me. Thus, Couchsurfing is the perfect choice for me - I see it as an opportunity to immerse into local community which is, as explained before, a huge motivation for me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music, having played the drums and piano myself. I listen to all kinds of music depending on the setting, but usually alternative, jazz or indie rap.
I really like expressive and creative movies using unique features to complement it like a mix between music and film.
Although I always need some time getting into new books I still really like reading books from which one can actually learn something new from and I am interested in. For example right now I am reading a book about the hypocrisy of development aid and orphanages .
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When thinking about amazing things I have done. One experience comes to mind which happened during my stay in Australia. We went camping in the outback. After the sun already went down, we were already in our tents ready to sleep, when we decided to sleep outside on the rocks. So we took our sleeping bags and walked out of the camping grounds for a little while until we got to the rocks where we watched the sunset and wallabies the day before. We were watching the stars when suddenly a wallaby jumped into the middle of our circle hoping to get some food. It stayed there for a while we enjoyed the rest of the night!
Teach, Learn, Share
I like plants and gardening although I haven't really done anything in that field before I would love to help with gardening and learn a little about it.
During my stay with you I can show you the Austrian cuisine but also spoil you with cocktails and beverages as I am a trained bartender.
I would love to improve my French and learn how to free-dive, surf and other sports which I am interested in.
