Overview
About Me
Grew up in Michigan, lived in Chicago during college, and have also briefly lived in Los Angeles. Haven't had much opportunity to travel in the past few years and I'd like to try to more often, and see places I've never been.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
New to Couchsurfing, seems like fun. Not currently living in a situation where I'm able to host, but hoping to get the chance to check it out and find some interesting experiences while traveling.
Interests
- music
- film
- bars and clubs
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Kubrick, Lynch, Coen Brothers, Mel Brooks, too many others to list but those are four of my favorites.
Music: I like a lot of different music, and like to learn what other people are listening to that I haven't heard of. Surprise me!
Books: Currently reading the Hitchhiker's Guide series (kind of appropriate eh?)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed a mountain in Colorado.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always interested in checking out unique things that different places have to offer and learning about the place I'm visiting.
Film is one of my favorite subjects and I love to talk about it, and discover films through other people's tastes that I otherwise might not have seen.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I always do my best to be a clean, polite, and friendly guest, and I just like to find fun experiences and good times when I'm traveling, and hope we can share some memorable ones. I have a few decent cooking skills/recipes, despite the fact that I must admit I'm a somewhat obnoxiously picky eater. I can also buy you some nice beer or a meal or something to thank you for hosting. Or of course, if you'd prefer, there's always good old fashioned household chores or a little cash toward the rent.
