I just graduated and I'm running from all my debt. I'm attempting to visit all the big, famous national parks before they're all burned and mined for their resources. I have a job waiting for me in California and will probably die before I get there. Meet me before then for a great story to tell your friends.

I'm living out of my dad's old car and have been sleeping in the woods and in parking lots. It's not so bad but boy oh boy do I miss pooping in real bathrooms.

I hosted a few people when I lived in Norway but thus far have not ever stayed with someone. I'm hoping this will provide me with more opportunities to buy beer.

I love reading and playing hillbilly instruments. But don't worry I won't talk about how good the book is or play anything near you, I'm not THAT guy.

I love meeting people and having a story to tell people. Life is fun that way, I think.

This combines that love of stories and people, with the fact I need somewhere to sleep. Please, I just need a warm place to sleep on the ground without getting robbed or kidnapped.

I think life is all about scratching each other's backs. I scratch yours with beer and food and you let me sleep on your floor instead of in the woods. Then in 20 years when you need a kidney transplant, I give you mine because that's what friends are for. Then when I'm framed for a murder you spend years solving the mystery to get me out of prison and bring the real crook to justice.

All it takes is saying "Yes, Jacob, I'll let you sleep on my floor, you seem like a decent guy." and then BAM, you could potentially have access to my organs or at least I'll teach you to be a real cowboy. It's the best IOU imaginable.

Norway turned me into a ski bum with nothing to do except smash my face into the ground and talk about "sending it."

Walden taught me that people are shit and you should just sleep in the woods. But Thoreau is a bloody liar. I am currently reading On The Road (Ironic I know) and Brothers Karamazov (I have no idea what it's about)

I like historical fictions and non-fiction. I reaf the History of Rome to learn the most effective way to conquer the Mediterranean and not get stabbed by the Senate. Rome. Was. Wild.

I love modern folk music and hip-hop. It may not look like it but I was the best freestyle rapper at this bar in Ireland, once.

Movies are for people that can't visualize. Like me. So I really like colorful, fun stories like Spirited Away and all things Miyazaki. I also have a love for Westerns. Looking at you Eastwood.

I went on a date with a Vogue model in New York and she taught me how to tango on the Brooklyn Bridge. We ended up going out for a while before I realized she only wanted me for my extensive knowledge of bridges.

I lived in a van after highschool in Colorado for a summer and ate only Rice Krispies and soup for 3 months. I also had to shit in the woods every day and shower at a laundromat. All in all it was pretty terrible.
The only difference now is the car and the fact I eat much better.

I'm supposed to be B1 in Norwegian but at this point, the only thing that's good for is telling other cross-country skiers "good weather, eh?" but also telling them to have a good day and asking the guy at 7/11 for a pølser with extra sprøstekt løk. I love that shit.

I can teach you how to breathe in and talk at the same time and go "mmm" every five seconds in a conversation. That's essentially how you'll talk to every Norwegian... if you get that far.

Um, I play guitar like any other American white male in his early 20's. I can play more than Wonderwall, I swear. I play shitty banjo and am attempting to learn the harmonica and be Bob Dylan?

Unfortunately, all I can offer beer and whatever the opposite of backpacking lessons are. I can probably teach you guitar or banjo songs and love to sing and play. So if that's your thing, I'm there for it. I cook well and would happily make dinner and breaky. I also LOVE games and will wipe the floor with you in rummy.
