I am a Catholic college student studying Chemistry and Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville. I love travelling, and have been fortunate to have seen much of the United States already. I love sports, especially soccer and ultimate frisbee, and outdoor activities in general, and wish I had more free time for backpacking and camping.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a people-person, and the chance to meet and connect with people other than hotel staff is a great and desirable opportunity. The Couchsurfing community seems like the perfect place to really meet and experience different backgrounds, culture, and people, and as an extrovert that all sounds amazing. Not to mention, I love camping and for the most part just need a place to lie down, so on my college student's budget it makes a lot more sense to pay less and meet people rather than pay more and end up watching sports.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually just listen to whatever the people I am with are listening to, but my favorite radio stations are 70s and 80s or mix stations, so I guess that is my favorite kind of music.
I don't get to read as much as I would like, but my favorite books are The Lord of the Rings and A Tale of Two Cities, with Crime and Punishment coming in a close third.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Road tripped from Ohio to the California coast and back, visiting state and national parks, monuments, reserves , and forests along the way.

I am a chemistry and philosophy major, so I am happy to discuss either of those topics, as well as pretty much any discussion. I am from a big family in rural Ohio, so I would both love to hear from people in similar situations in other places around the world, and I would be happy to tell stories about my family life.
