Overview
About Me
I'm a 25 year-old recent university grad looking to live some of this life. I'm a small town Canadian fella, living and working in Toronto since May, 2018.
While not at work (Ontario Public Service) I enjoy reading (mostly non-fiction), hangin' with my beautiful girlfriend (Mona), playing guitar, exploring the city, watching sports (go Saints!), and cooking. A huge part of my motivation to travel is to eat EVERYTHING!!!
*Disclaimer: I'm NOT just looking for a free stay!! I like to treat my hosts to dinner, either locally or something I whip up, doing dishes, laundry, hell-I've even chopped wood and pulled weeds while in Budapest haha.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had past family and friends Couchsurf throughout western Europe with only great things to say. I surfed for a few weeks in Europe myself and fell in love with it. I still keep in touch with many past hosts and it's such a great way to make friends around the world.
What I truly want is the opportunity to experience the cultural side of every place I visit which I otherwise couldn't get through guided tours and hotels. I'm a very laid back personality and can get along with anyone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm the first person to row a single across Lake Ontario (St. Catharines to Toronto). It was August 21, 2015 and the 50km voyage took me 5 hours, 20 minutes. I used it as a fundraising event where over $3,400 was donated to the SickKids Foundation in Toronto.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Any host willing to offer me a place to rest will be treated with the utmost respect. The whole point of this journey is to meet new people and integrate into the local scene which most tourists aren't able to do. I'd love to share stories and ideas over a cup of coffee or a cold beer while learning about yourself and how another person lives.
Most importantly: I will absolutely respect your home and replace anything I use-twice over. I like to think I have the rare ability to know when it's fun hangout time, and when quiet and space is needed.
