About Me

Started off on a subsistence farm in the rural United States, then left home to become a priest at age 13. At 18, I decided that the priesthood wasn't for me so I went to University to study Electrical Engineering. Halfway through Uni, I moved to Germany and got my degree in German Translations. After a year of that, I went to Uganda with the Peace Corps and helped build a school. Came back to the United States and finished my EE degree. Then I got a job traveling, fixing large scale generators for a few years. Got bored, so I quit and have been trying to figure out what I really want to do. Still young and have alot to learn :) Cheers, Prost, Salud!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I need to learn. Best way to learn is to meet people that have different perspectives. Traveling allows me the opportunity to meet people with very different perspectives. Couch surfing is a good way to travel and meet new people, and if I am lucky, make life-long friends.

Interests

Languages! I want to speak seven languages fluently by the time I settle down.

Music and Dance!! I do not have a natural ability for either but I will continue to try until I am proficient at both. Other than food, they are what really bond people.

Adventures!!! I tend to be a high energy person that thinks deeply. I need adventure to fuel myself and to keep growing into the man I want to be.

Finding the Universal Truths. I may not know much, but I do know that love is the Universal truth, and it should be freely given and never coveted. Love everyone even if you can't stand them, and love always.

Music, Movies, and Books

Count of Monte Christo is the best book. Really love French Literature.

I love all forms of music but I normally stick to non-english music so I can get better at my Spanish and German. Culcha Candela is one of my favorites. Also Leslie Grace is pretty awesome.

Movies....well I really liked Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a booze cruise on the Nile into Lake Victoria. Was the first person in the United States to see the sun rise from atop Mount Cadillac one morning. Took Payton Manning's golf cart one night and put it out in the middle of a nearby pond ontop a floating dock. Ended up on the on the wrong side of Ireland and got drinking with a few lads part of the IRA. Cheers!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a philosopher by heart and need other's perspectives to keep growing. I do not argue, I discuss. I know that I don't know everything and everyone has something to teach me. I can do the same for others. I am always willing to listen and always willing to help others. At the very least, I can teach others how to solve problems :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I cook, clean, and love conversation. I am thoughtful, and never wish to overstay my welcome. High energy, so I am always down to do just about anything. In fact, I can't think of one thing I am not willing to try as long as it doesn't interfere with me putting out my positive vibes. Easy going and willing to help out where people need help. Also, I give a damn good massage. Want to try learning Raiki if I can.
