About Me
ABOUT ME
A pure and honest guy, with a never-ending sense of humor. Though I tend to worry too much about stuff. Trying to relax under most circumstances is what I have yet to learn. On the subject of education.. I got my bachelor degree in Embedded Software Engineering last year. I now work for a small company in Heerenveen, The Netherlands. It's nice to have a full time job, with all the money and stuff.. but my deepest desire is to travel around the world (like a year or so) with nothing more than a backpack and witness amazing things of which I now only can guess at. Besides my work as a software engineer i'm also a reserve soldier in the Royal Dutch Army.
On the area of religion... I don't consider myself a pure atheist (Although I was raised in a christian family). I have yet to deepen myself into the amazing subject of believe and religion before I know which way attracts me the most.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To discover a world beyond the computer screen.
Interests
I spend my free time watching new TV series from the U.S. (Human Target, Awake, Touch, Lost, Firefly, Terra Nova etc.) I also like to read interesting (semi)(scientific)books on all sorts of different subjects. From "the history of debt" to "the way of the samurai" and so on. Recently I bought a good old Game Boy Color, with a few old school games. So I can play some long forgotten games while I travel too work by train and bus. I'm also into sports, like running, obstacle courses and the military pentathlon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On my way to Sweden, in 2009 or so, I visited the Danish Island Møn, in the Baltic Sea. There I went to see the amazing "Møns Klint" (English: the Cliffs of Møn). Truly a fantastic view! Amazing piece of nature. When you're nearby, you should definitely take a visit. See also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%B8ns_Klint
The City of Budapest, Hungary is also a very nice place to visit. I took a few city trips while I visited the biggest musical/cultural festival of Europe called Sziget in 2011. ('Sziget' means 'Island', on which the festival is held every year). Especially the old bathhouses are a must see.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland
