ABOUT ME

I like to meet and talk to other people and listen and learn from their experiences and stories/share laughs etc.
I'm a crusiy relaxed kinda guy who has always liked the outdoors and being active exploring, hiking, surfing, fishing, snowboarding, riding, diving etc and all that sorta stuff. Dabble abit in photography also which I enjoy.
As a nurse I get to meet and look after people from all walks of life and backgrounds which I enjoy and find rewarding. Always different everyday and unpredictable which is what I need to stimulate me and keep me interested in working to save to travel :)
I try and have a good balance of things in life and eat/be healthy but still enjoy myself with treats/beers etc. I have an awesome family and I enjoy hanging with them and my friends. Lucky enough to have a twin brother who I am very close with.
I volunteer as a surf and rescue life gaurd and other local charities and try and give back to my local community when I can.
I really dislike discrimination/racism/disrespecting of other cultures etc, of any kind and am open minded and relaxed in my views. Treat others how you want to be treated is a good way to go by I think. I feel we only live once so make the most of it!

PHILOSOPHY

I like smiling at random people and saying g'day to those I dont know and if they smile back thats awesome. I like to share and spread some postive vibes around the place. Not religious personally but accepting of others beliefs. I do agree with and admire many Buddhist teachings, values and perceptions and feel strongly about the importance of(and for) both internal and external harmony.

I get in there amongst it. I dont mind getting my hands dirty and learn by doing. I thrive off trying and seeing and doing new things.

Meeting new people and laughing and having a good time is always interesting and usually great fun. Getting out and being active and living life and not getting stuck in front of the tv/computer is a major interest of mine. I do enjoy watching/playing most sports and not overly serious about anything in particular, just having fun, getting a sweat up and making new friends. I love to travel and experience new places and getting some nice photos to remember the good times.

Funny movies are good, I like most things.
Lots of history and conflict literature I find fascinating, along with religion which is usually closely related.
Autobiographies and nature doco's are great too.

Saving someone's life is up there.

Getting barrel's surfing a secret reef break and staying in a hammock on a secluded beach with friend's and drinking beers at sunset in Samoa is up there also.

Snowboarding with my twin brother on this massive peak in NZ in perfect powder and sunny conditions is indescribale.

Large range of practical outdoor skills and I enjoy teaching people how to surf/snorkle/fish etc and am lucky enough to live in one of the best places in the world for these things (yes I'm biased!, dont believe me google Tassie). As a nurse I have an interested in healthcare and a strong alternative passion for meditation, relaxation and life balance. I love learning about other cultures and expanding my knowledge bases on most subjects.
