ABOUT ME
I've couchsurfed on and off for a few years and I've met some great people doing it. For me, it is a way of having adventures that take me out of my comfort zone, getting to know people I would not meet otherwise, and learning some surprising things along the way. I respect people who have the confidence to have independent views on things. I am positive, sometimes funny and sometimes serious. I have a sense of humour that is often irreverent and ironic, and absurd things amuse me. Big ideas fascinate me. I read quite a bit, I run and swim as much as I can find time for. I'm writing a book on learning Arabic - almost finished!
PHILOSOPHY
The closest I get to having a philosophy is: there isn't any big meaning to life, you have to create your own. And one way to do that is to leave the world a bit better than you found it. There are lots of ways to do this. Famous thinkers fascinate me, so I'd like to get experience in the world of politics and foreign affairs and one day add something valuable to the big debate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed in Paris, Lebanon, Syria, Georgia and Armenia. People I've stayed with have been to London and stayed with me. I used to show people round London. Now I'm in living in Beirut.
