About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to move through places, space and time.

ABOUT ME

I love the fresh eyes I get when I travel.

I love seeing my hometown through the lens of visitors.

Speaking and hearing new languages makes me happy and then sleepy.

I've lived in the same city for 28 years. I appreciate having a home and community that anchors me when I'm gone.

I feel most free when I'm being spontaneous, whether it be on the dance floor, rapping (hip Hop), acting, having late night conversations or just being goofy.

I believe deeply in human potential.

I really like being around people. I also enjoy time alone. Balance.

I feel like I'm real good at not worrying about things I can't control and thus I stay easy going and relaxed.

I really like to have fun and laugh. I can be really serious if the situation requires but really I wish I lived in a world that was mostly fun.

I have two ears and one mouth so I try to listen twice as much as I speak.

I really like walking or riding my bike. They are my favorite ways to explore a new place.

I like to play backgammon and rummy, I play Ultimate, I go for runs, I sit on my porch and talk to my neighbors, I perform poetry, I write poetry, I waste too much time on the internet, I go to Philadelphia's parks and some other things as well.

Je peux parler et comprendre le français. Il est plus difficile pour moi de lire et écrire le français.

PHILOSOPHY

Focus on the good, learn from the bad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of my friends in Philly are couch surfers. When I travel I tend to stay with friends of friends of friends everywhere I go which feels a lot like my couch surfing experiences. I have couch Surfed in Burkina Fasso in West Africa, in Italy, used CS for meeting cool people to hang out with in Belgrade and Couch Surfed in Charlotte and Rockland Maine. I live with 5 other people who aren't sold on Couch Surfing. But I love hosting people and hope I can host people who have hosted me.

I can swim and I can teach you to swim. I can rap and I can teach you to rap. I know how to do jumping jacks and make myself sneeze. I know too much about Philadelphia and American politics.
