HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By buying beer!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I went to Minsk and met two Couchsurfers who showed me and my friends around! I later then returned the favour and hosted them in Vilnius.
Since then I have also met Couchsurfers in Kiev, St. Petersburg, Warsaw and Krakow. Everytime it has been an interesting experience to meet someone local :)
Interests
Oy vey, that's a difficult one. First of all I'm very interested in travelling to new places and meeting new cultures and people.
Other than that I'm very interested in society, politics and a bit of a hobby history nerd.

Music, Movies, and Books
Now this is a category of proportions! Let's do it orderly then:
Movies: I enjoy everything from the cryptic French noir movie to down-right dirty and primitive action with one-liners delivered by Arnold. But I do have a special place in my heart for Will Ferrel movies, especially Anchorman. Otherwise I'm a huge history nerd, so if a movie has the slightest historic touch I'm all over it.
Music: I listen to most kinds of music. But at the moment Manic Street Preachers, The Roots, Outlandish and Snook are ruling my Spotify playlists. But I do have an affinity for 80s music, so don't be surprised if the glorious music of Wham or such like escapes from my earphones.
Books: I'm a bit on the geeky side, so in fiction space opera and fantasy fill up about half of my bookshelves. People will probably know George R.R. Martin's 'Game of Thrones' now because of the TV-series, but I was reading it before it was cool (yes, I'm a fantasy hipster, apparently). That book series is probably my favourite. Otherwise anything by Dan Simmons, Peter Hamilton and Alastair Reynolds receive thumbs up from me.
In the non-fiction part I read a ton of books about history and politics. The books by Antony Beevor about Stalingrad, Berlin etc. are favourites!
