À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
to make the world my home...
ABOUT ME
I'm a laid-back Bavarian, 30, who started fulfilling his dream of "walking the earth" in 2008. I went on a full ATW with my girlfriend, Sandra in 2009 and 2010 and then continued my studies in Berlin until I got the chance to work as an editor for a major publishing house in New Delhi. My committment there was over in May 2013 and I went east to Kolkata and to Bali, before I got back to Germany and found a great job in Frankurt, where Sandra joined me a year ago...
PHILOSOPHY
there was this guy that didn't wanna host us in Sydney, because he had to google my "personal philosophy", but hey: just try and do that. Go search for "bokonon" and see where you end up...
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I actually never really had to turn to people from CS as I have stayed with friends, friends of friends and their friends (you get the idea!) – so I can't really tell. You can help me change this. As soon as I get home again there will be a couch for you, be sure of that!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
so far I just surfed couches of buddies and friends in Harlem, Delhi, Kathmandu, Wellington and several places in Europe. Although all of them I found on the road, not on CS. The only place that came near couchsurfing was a CS-registered couch in Berkeley, though again, I got to know the people there through a friend.
I was always into people who take me out, show me places, throw me into the bustling heart of their hometowns and join me laughing afterwards.
Centres d'intérêt
Beer (obvious, coming from the place that hosts Octoberfest, huh..., well and I must say, it IS one of my interests! it requires a lot of skills to make a good beer), Arts, Music, Books (both reading and writing), Funny Faces, Sunny Places... and a lot more...

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Movies and Books? too many to tell... seriously. way too many.
And musicwise: pretty much everything from classical to post-rock, electronic, minimal, indie, jazz, hiphop, fusion, pop. But NO R'nB (the new kind, Beyoncé and shit), NO fuzzy teenie-stars and NO goth or the like. I sometimes make mixtapes, I guess I should mention that...
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I stayed in a remote place at Jiya near Dharamsala and was looking out of the window for the already gorgeous deep-red sunset when millions and millions of butterflies emerged from the woods and grasslands below and flew off towards the mountains. I put down my camera and had tears in my eyes.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I can teach you
- how to cook without recipes
- how to make the ears wobble without moving the face
- how to write a good book
- how to write a bad one
- how to make a proper bonfire
- how to fix household appliances and anything caretaking/janitor-related (I'm really good at that)
- how to make bracelets from coconut shells (the only thing I learned in Fiji. Other than that: it's boring as fuck over there)
- how to whistle with your fingers (loud!)
- everything about German Bundesliga, European football in general, beer, travelling in Germany, Europe & India, Berlin trivia
- ...
I want to learn
- sign language
- how to make a backflip
- how to surf (not only couches...)
- more about old movies
- how to juggle
- how to cry like an actor (on call)
- how to dance like everyone's watching
- ... your way of seeing the world.
