My name is Jacob and I like to explore, meet new people, learn and have fun in whatever environment I am in.

I am from Potomac, Maryland (20 mins outside Washington D.C.) but I go to school In Waterville, Maine attempting to get my bachelors degree in both History and Goverment. Currently though I am studying abroad at the Universty of Edinburgh

I am easy going and I promise to always do the dishes and have a smile on my face!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As Mark Twain said “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”

Couch surfing allows people to travel the world and meet new people, promoting peace and prosperity through understanding and acceptance.

Interests

I like exciting things like traveling, skiing, SCUBA diving, but I also like to just snuggle up next to a fire while reading a book and pretending to enjoy the taste of fine single malt scotch.

I like most everything, and respect peoples opinion to like anything except for clowns and broccoli those two are just scary and gross.
