Hey! I'm Jacob, from Canada :)

I love exploring nature, new cultures, and food. I'm big into hiking and mountaineering, but also love chilling out in the city checking out cool cafes, eating street food, and meeting people.

I'm from Ottawa, the capital of Canada. I study Software Engineering, and am currently half-way through my third year.

I've previously trekked to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, spent two months travelling all over China, rode horses in Mongolia, and took the train across Siberia.

Starting in May, I'm leaving Canada for an 8 month long adventure. My plan isn't set in stone, but the rough route will look like this:
May - Pakistan
June - Tajikistan and Afghanistan (Wakhan Corridor)
July - Kyrgyzstan
August - Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan
September - Xinjiang and Kazakhstan
October - Uzbekistan (and maybe Afghanistan again?)
November - Iran
December - Kurdistan and Taiwan or Vietnam

I trekked to Everest Base Camp in Nepal over the course of three weeks.

I made it to ~100 meters below the summit of Pico de Orizaba in Mexico, the third tallest mountain in North America.

Fluent in English, and know a bit of French.

I'm hoping to learn some Russian while I'm in Central Asia, and I'd love to get good at Mandarin someday.
